Verifying PGP receipts
Anonymous Swap can provide a downloadable receipt for finished orders. Signed receipts help you prove exchange details without relying on long-term server logs.
What the receipt is for
It records order-relevant fields for your own records. Because order data is not kept indefinitely (details are retained about 72 hours for processing, then removed), downloading promptly matters.
Verification idea
Use standard OpenPGP tooling to check that the signature matches Anonymous Swap’s published key and that the signed text was not altered. Treat unsigned plain-text exports as convenience copies only.
- Download from the order page while the session is valid
- Store the .asc file offline if you need an audit trail
- Never share your seed or private keys to “verify” anything
Limits of a receipt
A receipt proves what was signed at download time. It is not a KYC document and does not create an account. It also does not replace on-chain confirmation of your deposit and payout transactions.
