Avoiding wrong-network deposits
Deposit addresses are chain-specific. A Tron address format is not an Ethereum address. Even when formats look similar across EVM chains, the tokens are not interchangeable.
Common failure modes
USDT TRC-20 sent to an ERC-20 deposit, BEP-20 tokens sent to Ethereum mainnet, or Polygon/Base assets sent to an Ethereum-only address. Recovery is often impossible without control of the receiving contract.
Checklist before sending
Read the network name on the order screen. Match it in your wallet’s network picker. Confirm the token contract if your wallet shows multiple USDT entries. Send a tiny test only if you are unsure and the amount is large — then send the remainder as a second order if needed.
- Order network label = wallet send network
- Exact amount, not a rounded guess
- No memo/tag unless the order asks for one
Deposit-only networks
Some networks (for example certain Polygon, Avalanche, or Base USDT/USDC paths) may be deposit-only for swaps. You can send from them, but payouts go to supported receive assets like XMR — still match the deposit label exactly.
